On behalf of Rear Rank Productions, the Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the 150th Maryland Campaign Committee, Washington and Frederick Counties and the Southern Division we are proud to present Maryland, my Maryland, the 150th Anniversary Reenactment of the Battles of South Mountain and Antietam.
Maryland, my Maryland is dedicated to presenting you with the most accurate depiction of the struggles of September, 1862.
Each participant is dedicated to providing you with the best historical presentation possible. The event will be held just south of Boonsboro, Maryland on September 8-9, 2012.
In order to provide you with an up close and personal view of the action and the interpretive programs, we are limiting tickets sales to 2,000 per day.
On Saturday 4,000 reenactors will be recreating the Battle of South Mountain and on Sunday the Battle of Antietam.
And all proceeds from the event will be equally donated to Central Maryland Heritage League for the preservation of the Hallowed Ground of South Mountain, and the Britney's Hope Foundation, who assist with the adoption of special needs children worldwide.
We call this Preserving the Past and Creating a Future.
The event will NOT have grandstands, so as to promote a more historical setting, so we encourage you to bring your own seating.
